n so it begins. with the walking into changi airport terminal 1. send off from aug and nic. the closeness of colleagues. plane ride wasnt that bad! my ears were only blocked n painful when the plane was taking off n landing. unlike last time it just got blocked throughout. haha our group photos with sheena so cant upload here! theres like entertainment system but on our trip there, mine just hung whenever i tried to on cassanova, n in the end my system just died on me. haha so i ended up playing stupid games like 'who wants to be a millionaire' with jason on his system. haha we never got past 500 bucks. rofl.

so they served us a meal.. not fantastic but endible! i love the brownie cake! its damn good!


n when we arrived at the airport, it was like... 12 plus already. cuz the plane had to circulate ard thai airport for ard 20 mins b4 landing due to heavy air traffic and the queues.. were scary. plus the service from the customs.. BAD. freak manz. so we proceed to snatch a cab from the departure hall.. in the arrival hall.. the taxi's try to snatch u! scary! n they charge u a lot! we agreed on METER taxi's. haha

so kenny, jason, sheena n me board 1 cab. It was the most exciting taxi ride ever. Too fast too furious. the cabbie didnt even go through the toll way, he just charged through those strange highways at such speed the that make scenaries a blur. my gosh! it was damn thrilling! haha i love such cabbies! its almost like drifting n i think the cabby has extra turbo or something! james, deek, aida and june arrived b4 us cuz they took the tollway... but our ride was cheaper! n freaking exciting. haha n in thailand! the cabbies look much more interesting! they are like colourful n even have those char will love!

so we arrived n check into our hotels. ok my room was like.. scary at first. cuz the lights cld not be switched on n we had to ask the staff to check, to find out the main switch was turned off. haha den the tv was down. n once again we called for staff to fix it. my gosh... n lastly.. even the toilet door was down n the lock wont work. freak.. we just gave up n seek for food. we walked out n some cabby drove us to some restaurant for some seafood. it was freaking expensive. we ordered tomyum... n ermz... its blend. so much for all the good say abt tomyums of thai. we were disappointed.

2nd day. we woke at 9.30 sing time, their time is an hr behind, for breakfast at the hotel. only kenny, sheena, jason n me made it. haha james, deek, aida and june went to club after dinner the day b4 (n my gosh.. we only finished dinner at 4am) while the rest of us went back to hotel to slp, prepare for shopping war! haha so the 4 of us went to chatuchak first! its freaking scary.. at least it is to me. the place is packed, its HOT, its small and its like... bugis street X30. we cant tell whether we walked a certain area b4, nor can we tell where were we despite the map. it was huge! i shld have taken a photo of the map of chatuchak. anyway theres this animal section! the animals were so freaking cute!!! the dogs going at super low prices!!! damn adorable!!! n the things there were super cheap! really!!! we were too engrossed in shopping for photos. haha

so we shopped from abt 11 plus to like... 4pm there. den we all cabbed back to hotel with no news of the clubbers. haha after all the shopping... i just wanted to like sit on the sofa n rest. lucky the hotel room got mtv, starworld, cartoon network, star movies on tv! haha n after like some rest.. we heeded out again! jason n i just like walked through the streets near our hotel while waiting for sheena n kenny. they even have robinsons along the road! haha n we came across little stalls n 1 of them caught my nose attention. haha KEBABS! it was damn good!!!so good we keep going back n even brought kenny n sheena to tried it! they loved it too!

they are like our old mrt system. do ur remember? the soft tickets with many designs? haha yeah.the only bad thing abt their train station... theres no escalators! its only stairs. made me feel so pampared back in sg.

so the train arrived....

we were heading to lumphini train station...so we had to change to mrt after skytrain. skytrain is above ground. mrt is underground! n the mrt is another system! its like our ezy link but its not a card.. its.....

some weird looking black coin. haha but its the same 'tap it' system.

den guess what we saw?

yeah! FERRIS WHEEL!

n it only cost us like 100 baht. i think when sg 1 is done.. it'll cost us like.. much more. 100 bucks is abt our 4sg dollar. i think sg will sell us the ticket at 40 dollars lar. haha

n while we're high up in the sky.. Jason spotted this! haha so....... that was next up. the similar to escape ride but much more dangerous! theres no form of security at all! i almost flew out cuz my hand kinda slipped from the bar! haha

n being v tired... we decided to take a tuk tuk back. n all excitement begins after we board the tuk tuk! u know the bond ads regardign the tuk tuk? well.. its VERY True! my gosh! they were exagerrating i tell u! i saw a tuk tuk turn like almost 90 degrees! n the traffic! scary!!! n the tuk tuk uncle even managed to like... hike up our tuk tuk! that was damn thrilling!!! scary but really good excitement!! den cars were like freakin close to us! my gosh!!!

yeah tuk tuk took us to patpung. n its a hell of experience. it was so scary i didnt even dare to take out the cameras to snap. seriously. just right after we touched down.. this uncle was trying to get us to see the thai girl show. we tried to reject.. den he was super persistent lar.. so in the end we said we just wanna see the place n were waiting for frenz (which was half true cuz we were waiting for james n deek they all cuz they wanted to watch). in the end he showed us the place.. n it was.. major turn off. the girls were topless.. n the itenaries include 'shooting pingpong balls, bananas. turnin water into coke etc' USING vaginas. thats the real disgusting part. degrading n disgusting. they were persistent in pushing us in.. n i tell u i was freaking stubborn abt getting us out. n we won the battle. haha sheena n i was damn thankful. it was gross.

as if that wasnt enough.. walking down the streets.... it wasnt even meant for shopping! every few steps u take ur being like.. harassed to go in n watch some sex shows n stuff. it scares the hell out of me manz. than lookin into the pubs u'll see girls in super skimpy clothes on the bartop. it wasnt even dancing.. they were just like moving n selling their bodie's to the eyes of hungry horny guys. seriously. i felt a balance of pity n disgust. if ur a guy walking alone.. u'll get dragged in by girls. if ur a girl walking alone... u can feel that ur visually raped. n might even get mistaken for like... the others. gosh.

3rd day. we decided to return to like chatuchak. continued shopping n heed down down siam centre. n this is what happens when u buy something in thai n wear it....

n basically.. its more shopping at siam centre.. mbk shopping centre! my gosh. however.. chatuchak is still the cheapest. but this is seriously a motto to keep at bangkok

haha n after 1 long day of shopping.... we went back to hotel to put our stuff! slack ard for like a really long while! we even watched hollow man on starmovie.. n a bit of elektra. haha before heading out to suanlom for dinner... its like a food court format n u have to buy coupons to get food! kinda interesting. they even have a stage n blasting music!


ok n u know what happens when ur on the streets at like... 2plus am???

this is what i call abundance of cabbies. seriously.. not only are there a lot of cabbies out so late at night.. there's also like a lot of caucasians n skimpy dressed girls.. n drama queens out on the street in the wee hrs. drinkin by the road side n picking up... ermz... i cant tell whethre the girls were picking guys or guys were pickign girls. there.. it works both ways.

den we walked into like supermarkets.. n some things just dont make sense.

so pple can choose to be either filthy drunk or not drink at all. haha but i guess it is so for us but maybe the cost may restrict them cuz their poorer.

now i'm wondering why sg dun sell these flavours. the lychee was good!

and so school begins proper..

i stared at the ideal timetable i've created, and they stared back at me. well in life, nothing can be ideal and i've gotta learn to appreciate everything in my and along my path.

so my 3-day-week desire i left far behind, for a sudden knowledge of an additional practical lesson leave me with a 4 day week now. and so i learnt, never to stubbornly stick with ur hopes. sometimes easing it up will make life much easier and maybe even better.

with 4 day week, i have a more comfortable pace for lectures and tutorials. no hurrying in between lessons and more time in sch to seek readings and catch up. will do good for the playful me.

Thus its now time to slot in tutorials, they call it balloting. to me its just major dumping of preferable tutorials, submit, close my eyes and hope extremely hard that i get tutorials that i want.. or that fits into my schedule. No i'm not going to find for friends and tally up, hoping to get same schedules. i've learnt to be independent. i'm gonna go for what I want and it'll be an extremely pleasant surprise to find my frenz there doing the same tutorial as me! =) its gonna be whats comfortable for me. others may just think i'm selfish or geek who only cares abt my life, but to me its just a stepping stone to be more independent. i dont want to be too reliant on others anymore.

I used to seek frenz in whatever i do, feel low at strange enviornments. its all abt insecurity. I was insecure abt myself, i know not how to carry myself n make more frenz, or rather i was just not confident of myself. Finally being able to go attend classes even though i know noone there made me realise how insecure i was in the past. i sat in the SSD2210 lecture hall, looking around at all faces new to me. i dont know any1. Smiles breaks all ice. i still dont know any1. haha i enjoyed myself in the lecture feeling at ease with myself in the packed lecture theatre.

However i'm glad i did not turn to being a total loner in nus. being loners going for classes is 1 thing, but being loner in the school will mean i'll be totally ignorant and miss out on a lot of things. I wld have bought new textbooks not realising we can get 2nd hand. (pss i got my cs1105 tb for $5!) all freaking new tb cost like abt 30 bucks. missing camps n o week will definitely mean a lost selina in huge nus campus. and i wont see many many friends in the corridors who makes the icy corridors look so much friendlier. advices, suggestions, companions, seniors. i'm thankful.

i'm still struggling to settle down in campus. planning, bidding, balloting. its a totally new environment. i love my prince.

n now i leave for bangkok. travelling exposure. its like bk1101e. haha i'm leaving the campus confusion to relax while i await balloting results.

i'll miss snaffee. n i already miss a lot of my frenz. n i realise i haven seen my mother for a long time. i miss her too. not that i'm from divorced family or what k! dun get mistaken! just that i step into hse, she's asleep and when i wake, she's at work. haiz.

i've been at the peak of my energy level for the past few weeks. its arts camp, pre-camp n o week. utmost exhaustion. arts camp was an exciting surprise! pre-camp was kinda dull. o week was another rollercoaster of fatigue and rah rah ness. but i have to say.. o week is much more tiring. i'm thankful that i have fantastic freshies with never ending rah rah ness n enthusiasm. it made o week less tiring... at least mentally. haha

maybe now i shld consider getting the shirt char have.. it proclaims "nerd have big hard drives". i shld get that n wear it to my computing class! rofl. den i'll prob get ostracised.
